How to Sign Your Title in Washington (WA)
Where to Sign
Be sure to write clearly and sign/print your name exactly as spelled on the front of your title. Avoid white-out, scribbles, and strike-throughs.
- Front of the title middle left - sign name(s) on the line where it reads "Signature of First Legal Owner."
- Front of the title middle right- sign name(s) on the line where it reads "Signature of Registered Owner."
- Just below towards bottom right - print and sign on lines for "Signature of Transferor/Seller" and "Printed name of of Transferor/Seller."
* Sign in the Seller Signature section and the signature portion in the Odometer section.
Multiple Owners
All owners listed on the front of title must sign the title.
Lien or Bank Name on Title
If your Washington title shows a lien or a bank name printed on the front, then your title will need to be signed off by the lien holder or have a separate lien release letter.
