How to Sign Your Title in Ohio (OH)
Where to Sign
Ohio car titles must be notarized. Be sure to write clearly and sign/print your name exactly as spelled on the front of your title. Avoid white-out, scribbles, and strike-throughs.
- Wait to sign until you are before a Notary.
- Back of the title top half - print name(s) on the line where it reads "Transferor's/Seller's Printed Name."
- Back of the title right next to where you printed name(s) - sign name(s) on the line where it reads "Transferor's/Seller's Signature."
Multiple Owners
All owners listed on the front of title must sign the title. Make sure to sign before a notary.
Lien or Bank Name on Title
If your Ohio title shows a lien or a bank name printed on the front, then your title will need to be signed off by the lien holder or have a separate lien release letter.
