Where to Sign
Montana car titles must be notarized. Be sure to write clearly and sign/print your name exactly as spelled on the front of your title. Avoid white-out, scribbles, and strike-throughs.

Wait to sign until you are before a Notary. -
Front of the title bottom right – sign name(s) on the line where it reads “Signature of Seller.” -
Back of the title right below where you signed name(s) – print name(s) on the line where it reads “Printed Name.”
Multiple Owners
All owners listed on the front of title must sign the title. Make sure to sign before a notary
Lien or Bank Name on Title
If your Montana title shows a lien or a bank name printed on the front, then your title will need to be signed off by the lien holder or have a separate lien release letter.
