How to Sign Your Title in Michigan (MI)
Where to Sign
Be sure to write clearly and sign/print your name exactly as spelled on the front of your title. Avoid white-out, scribbles, and strike-throughs.
- Front of the title bottom half - sign name(s) in the box where it reads "Signature of Seller(s)."
- Front of the title right next to where you signed name(s) - print name(s) in the box where it reads "Printed Name of Seller(s)."
Multiple Owners
All owners listed on the front of title must sign the title.
Lien or Bank Name on Title
If your Michigan title shows a lien or a bank name printed on the front, then your title will need to be signed off by the lien holder or have a separate lien release letter.
